Previously he has worked for UNDP's Asia-Pacific Development Information Programme working on ICT for Development initiatives. Specifically on the International Open Source Network project working on the vision that developing countries in the Asia-Pacific Region can achieve rapid and sustained economic and social development by using affordable yet effective FOSS ICT solutions to bridge the digital divide. Successes include bringing in low cost and vendor neutral training and certification to South East Asia (and Pacific) with the co-operation of LPI and local country partners. The programme continues on through IOSN ASEAN+3 with the support of InWent, Germany. A wide range of Open Content FOSS publications were also produced during this time. He has also consulted for other organizations, including Malaysia's Open Source Competency Centre, UN Asian and and Pacific Training Centre for Information and Communication Technology for Development (APCICT) and ILO Asia and the Pacific. * Malaysian Government FOSS Case Studies and Awards * OpenOffice.org and ODF Adoption in Malaysian Public Sector

I want to contribute to the programme activities and particularly collaborate on training organization and delivery.
I have just initiated the Python African Tour project which aims at
promoting the Python language and its technologies in Africa through
locally-organized learning activities.
The main idea of that initiative is to set up
sponsored training sessions, as well as
community events such as barcamps or sprints, in African countries
where we can find local host
