ict@innovation is a capacity building programme which supports small and medium ICT enterprises and aims to encourage the growth of African ICT industries by:

1) spreading FOSS business models for enterprises 

2) fostering FOSS certification and

3) supporting innovative local FOSS applications for social and economic development.  

The ict@innovation portal provides free training materials, information on courses, and contact to people working with FOSS across Africa. You can become part of the ict@innovation community by registering a profile.

Which FOSS certification do you need?

The ict@innovation programme is currently looking into different options for organizing trainings that lead to an internationally recognized FOSS certification. We would like to hear about your opinion and needs! We have opened an online forum where you can help us with your views to take some informed decisions on which type of trainings and certifications we should best invest in.

InWEnt Compilation of Materials on FOSS Business Models

InWEnt has compiled a selection of materials and resources on FOSS business models, that have been produced in the context of InWEnt programmes in South East Asia and Africa, complemented by additional external sources. The variety of links and materials are published on the it-inwent site.

Component A Scenario

A draft scenario of the ict@innovation component on African FOSS Business was published in May 2008 on the Wikieducator, to give partners and interested parties the opportunity to comment on the planning process.
