The Linux Professional association of Kenya in partnership with the Linux Professional Institute - East Africa, and Strathmore University, will be hosting the Software Freedom Day 2012. This event will be preceded by an Open source developers Challenge on the 31st of August at the same venue. This challenge is aimed at University students who are developing applications and solutions using FOSS.

At the same time, there will be a FOSS Business training workshop and a Linux Essentials Boot camp and exams
